In March 2011, the RCMP National Youth Services team hosted a Youth Leadership and Project Development Workshop at the RCMP Training Academy in Regina, Saskatchewan. Youth and RCMP officers from every province and territory flew to Regina for three days of learning, discussion and most importantly, fun!
During their time at the workshop, each youth-member team identified crime and victimization issues that existed in their community. Together, they built an action plan packed full of ideas and strategies to address their identified issue back home.
Upon returning to their community, the workshop participants were geared up to get started.
We wanted to share their progress and hard work with the rest of the country, so we created this page to provide updates on their action plans.
We hope that you will not only be inspired to help out, but maybe even be inspired to start your own initiative in your community! Start small…think big!
