Youth Advisory Committee
Welcome to the DEAL.org Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) recruitment center!
If you’re between the ages 14 and 17 and looking to be part of an awesome group of youth who are ready to speak out about issues affecting them, then we want to hear from you. We’re looking for candidates in every province and territory!
The members of our Youth Advisory Committee interact through our secure online forum, where they discuss issues that matter to them. The discussions help DEAL.org better tailor its resources to meet the needs of Canadian youth and allow us to provide the RCMP with a much-needed window into what youth feel are the real issues in their communities.
So, why join? Because our Youth Advisory Committee is a great opportunity! It gives you a chance to influence RCMP youth policy and interact with like-minded youth from across the country. Upon the completion of your one-year commitment, we may be able to provide reference letters for scholarships and university applications. Your high school may also permit you to count your time with the Youth Advisory Committee towards the volunteer hours that are required to obtain your high school diploma.
